June 2026 Public Meeting

 

GoDurham’s June Public Meeting took place on Wednesday, June 5th, 2026, at 5:30PM.

 

GoDurham General Manager Ashley Cole welcomed attendees to the Public Meeting.

Operations Director Matthew Wrenn provided an overview of the New Service Changes implemented on Saturday, May 30th, which included increased service frequency.

 

Cole proceeded to provide an overview of the upcoming events in which GoDurham will participate during the month of June.

  • Saturday, June 13, 2026 – Book Harvest Community Resource Fair – Book Harvest 2501 University Dr. 2501 University Drive. Durham, NC 1:00pm- 4:00pm
  • Wednesday, June 19, 2026 – Juneteenth Celebration – Carroll Street Park, Durham, NC 11:00am – 3:00pm
  • Saturday, June 20, 2026 – Durham Refugee Film Screening – Russell Memorial CME Church
  • Saturday, June 27, 2026 – LGBTQ Durham Our Day Our Resource Event 118 Hunt Street Durham, NC 10:00am- 2:00pm

 

GoDurham ACCESS Manager Tara Walton stated that the GoDurham ACCESS website is up and running and has been successful since its launch.

Walton encouraged attendees to visit the GoDurham ACCESS website to learn more about its micro transit services and the full range of services offered through ACCESS.

 

Mobility Services Planning Manager – Jennifer Green provided additional information on the Service Changes implemented on Saturday, May 30th.

Green mentions that there are some Budget updates that are being highly analyzed to better determine how service will be impacted over the next year.

 

Director of Transportation Sean Egan expressed his pride in GoDurham for being named the Urban Transit Agency of the Year by the North Carolina Public Transportation Association, learn more about this amazing accomplishment here.

 

Egan reiterated that GoDurham is extremely proud of the award and remains committed to serving the community, with a bright road ahead.
