T is for Transit

kids at bus stopYou can ride the bus, too!

All GoDurham passengers are encouraged to ride any GoDurham bus during normal hours of operation. All GoDurham buses will remain free for our passengers through June 30, 2025!

Where will you go?

The bus can take you to the library, museums, parks, for a bite to eat, or wherever you want to explore! While planning your next adventure, check out our GoDurham Comic Books (learn more below) and our coloring book

Tips for riding the bus

  1. Do you know where you want to go? Ask your parents to use the TransLoc app to see the bus arrive in real-time!
  2. Arriving at your bus stop. Make sure to look both ways before crossing the street and arrive 5 minutes early.
  3. Get the driver's attention! When you see your bus, wave at the driver to let him know you want to ride!
  4. Hop on board. Come right in and find a safe and comfortable seat.
  5. Let's ride! Stay seated while the bus is in motion and don't forget, no food or drinks!
  6. Pull the cord! Let the driver know you want to get off the bus at your destination.

GoDurham Comic Books

GoDurham has collaborated with Durham comic book artist L. Jamal Walton (view his art page here) to create a GoDurham comic book series! Our first comic book (an activity book) was released on Free Comic Day 2021 on August 14th. Our second was released on Free Comic Book Day 2022 on May 7th. Both comic books were distrubuted by Atomic Empire and Ultimate Comics here in Durham on the Free Comic Book Day holiday.
