New mobile app helps GoDurham ACCESS customers better manage their trips

DURHAM (MARCH 15, 2021) – Starting today, customers who rely on GoDurham ACCESS for on-demand service will be able to use a new mobile app that should simplify the booking process for them and make it easier to manage their trips.

The Ecolane app, available on iOS and Android, allows paratransit riders to book, track, cancel and receive real-time updates about their scheduled trips with GoDurham ACCESS.

“We are excited to be able to offer this app to the hundreds of customers who rely on us each day to get where they need to go,” says Tara Caldwell, general manager of GoDurham ACCESS. “We are always looking for ways to improve the experience for our customers, and the Ecolane app will send them real-time notifications when their ride is near and even show them the vehicle approaching on a map. The app also sends reminders about trips they’ve already booked.”

GoDurham ACCESS riders who want to sign up for Ecolane can call 919-560-1551 to receive instructions and login information.

GoDurham ACCESS provides ADA paratransit service for eligible riders to all locations within the City of Durham and to locations outside the city that are 3/4-mile of any GoDurham bus route.  GoDurham ACCESS also provides transportation options to rural Durham County residents who are age 60 or older, have a disability or need work-related, medical, human services, government or personal care trips.
