New Service Changes - Effective May 30th, 2026
Starting May 30, 2026, GoDurham will add more service and improve reliability on several parts of the system. These improvements are funded by the Durham Transit Plan, which invests in faster, more dependable bus service for Durham.

November 2025 Service Changes
Saturday, November 1, 2025, GoDurham implemented the next round of service changes identified in the Durham County Transit Plan.
These updates affected Routes 3, 3B, 3C, 8, and 12, with the goal of improving connections, increasing frequency, and aligning service with Durham’s long-term transit priorities.

No Changes to Routes:
1, 4, 6, 7, 10, 10B, 11, & 11B
- Route 2Schedule Changes to depart and arrive at Durham Station at :00 and :30
- Route 3
- Will run every 15 minutes to the Glenn View Station Walmart.
Riders traveling between Durham Station and The Village will benefit from better than 15-minute service provided by Routes 3 and 16 combined.
- Route 16 (replacing current Route 3B)
Will operate every 30 minutes (increased frequency compared to today’s 60-minute 3B).
Route 8
- Will be rerouted to serve Riddle Rd and Cornwallis Rd.
Service to Unity Village, Capps St, and Hearthside will shift to the new Route 13.
Route 9
- The first timepoint leaving Durham Station will be changed to the bus shelter in front of Compare Foods (#5184 Service Rd at Davidson Ave)

- Route 12
- Will be rerouted to serve NC 55.
- Frequency will increase to every 30 minutes (up from today’s 60 minutes).
- Route 12B will be eliminated.
Service along NC 54 will be discontinued. Riders traveling on NC 54 or to the Regional Transit Center can transfer between Route 12 and GoTriangle Route 800 at NC 54 & NC 55.
- New Route 13 (replacing current Route 3C) and connect The Village to NCCU and Durham Tech.,
