Microtransit

GoDurham’s Microtransit Program, offered by GoDurham ACCESS is an innovative, on-demand transportation service designed to provide more flexible, convenient transit options for Durham residents, especially in areas currently underserved by public transportation.

Microtransit is a technology-driven public transportation solution that offers on-demand rides within specific service zones. Unlike traditional fixed-route bus service, microtransit uses smaller vehicles, such as shuttles or vans, allowing routes and schedules to be more adaptable to riders’ needs. A rider can request a trip to and from any location within the designated service zones without using a public bus stop.

The Microtransit Program provides door-to-door, same-day ride services within two designated service zones: East Durham and North Durham.
