Mobile Booking

GoDurham ACCESS riders can book, track, cancel, and receive real-time updates about their rides with the GoDurham ACCESS app!

Follow the steps below to get started and book your ride. Click here to view or download the PDF user guide to the app, which includes screenshots of the app. 

Step 1. Download the GoDurham ACCESS app or open the web portal online here. For iPhone users, download the app here. For Android users, download the app here. 

1. Allow the app to access your location when prompted.
2. Open the app and register or log in using your phone number.
   1. Enter your phone number. 
   2. You’ll receive a text message with a verification code.
   3. Enter the code to access the app’s home page.

Step 2: Request a ride.

1. Tap “Where to” on the home screen.
2. The app will automatically detect your current location as the pickup point. To choose a different pickup address, enter it manually.
3. Enter your destination address. 
4. Add any special instructions for the driver by selecting “Add Pickup Note.”
5. Confirm your pickup location by tapping “Set as Pickup.”

Step 3. Adjust ride options and request your ride. 

1. After confirming your pickup and drop off locations, you will see “Choose a ride option.” Here you can:
   1. Choose your ride option - 
      1. If you’re eligible, you may see options for ADA paratransit (Labeled as GoDurham ACCESS). 
      2. If you’re in the North or East Zone of Durham and your destination is in those zones, you will see an option for GoDurham Connect/microtransit. 
      3. You may also see fixed bus route options.
   2. Adjust the number of riders.
   3. Indicate if you’re bringing mobility aids.
   4. Choose to book your ride now or schedule it for later.
   5. GoDurham ACCESS rides are automatically free through June 30, 2026, so you do not need to adjust the payment options. 
2. Once you’ve selected your preferred route option and set your preferences, you may request your ride. 

Step 4. Review and confirm your ride.

1. On the next screen, swipe up to view ride details.
   1. Under “Alternative Times,” you may see additional options for pickup or dropoff times.
   2. You can also “Add Pickup Note” and “Add Dropoff Note” for your driver.
2. Confirm your ride by tapping “Schedule Ride.”

Step 5. Book a return trip or repeat a ride (Optional).

1. After booking, you can choose:
   1. “Book Return” to schedule your return trip.
   2. “Book Again” to repeat the same trip.
   3. “Cancel Trip” if needed.    
2. When booking a return trip:
   1. The app will automatically use your previous dropoff as your new pickup location.
   2. Adjust the details as needed, select your preferred route, and “Request Ride.”
