GoDurham Station Renovation Update - October 17th, 2025
A shelter and a pedestrian sidewalk have been successfully constructed along W Pettigrew St, providing a safe and accessible pathway. The shelter is designed to offer protection Furthermore, a temporary canopy has been installed to provide additional shade and shelter. These installations aim to improve safety and convenience.
Kiss and Ride Relocation
On Monday, June 16, the Kiss and Ride location at Durham Station was removed to make way for ongoing construction as part of the station renovation project.
To ensure continued access for riders and visitors, the Kiss and Ride area has been temporarily relocated to a designated area nearby. Signage has been posted throughout the station to help guide riders to the new location.

We are excited to announce that Durham Station is entering a new chapter with major renovations aimed at better serving our riders and the wider community. This renovation project represents a significant investment in the future of public transit in Durham.
Effective, Saturday, June 14, 2025, GoDurham will implement a service change to Routes 11 and 11B to enhance reliability and improve overall performance. These adjustments are designed to streamline operations and better meet rider expectations for on-time service.
The GoDurham Connect Program is an innovative, on-demand transportation service designed to provide more flexible, convenient transit options for Durham residents, especially in areas currently underserved by public transportation.

The Durham Station Transportation Center is a smoke-free facility, in accordance with the City of Durham’s ordinance prohibiting smoking and vaping in public buildings and grounds. This includes all indoor and outdoor areas of the station, such as the platforms and concourses.
