Research Triangle Park, NC (Sept. 14, 2018) – Transit agencies in the Triangle are still monitoring weather conditions created by Hurricane Florence but plan to resume at least some bus service Saturday. Chapel Hill Transit, however, will remain closed.

GoTriangle and GoCary will resume regular Saturday service at 8 a.m., which means only routes that begin after 8 a.m. will run. GoCary will not have Tier 3 paratransit service, however. Both agencies plan to run regular service Sunday.

GoRaleigh and GoDurham plan to resume regular service Saturday.

With flooding and downed power lines and trees possible, some routes might have to be detoured, so riders are encouraged to check service alerts on each agency’s website and social media channels.

In addition, customer service representatives will be available Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. to answer questions about any agency’s routes. Please call the GoTransit Regional Information Center at 919-485-7433 for help if needed.

Chapel Hill Transit plans to announce at 2 p.m. Saturday whether it will resume service Sunday.
