Transit Equity Day 2025

GoDurham proudly celebrates Transit Equity Day 2025, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to transportation for everyone in Durham, North Carolina, and beyond in the Triangle Area. GoDurham is dedicated to serving our community through equitable and accessible transportation efforts.

Transit Equity Day, recognized on February 4th, is a tribute to civil rights activist Rosa Parks, whose birthday we honor! On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama. This courageous act sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a pivotal event that changed the course of transportation history.

At GoDurham, we exemplify our commitment to equity through our fare-free service and continual efforts to improve our operations. We cherish our community and are determined to strengthen our connections, elevate the quality of our services, and actively support and nurture the diverse community we serve.
